День Пам’яті – кожний четвертий понеділок травня – вшановує усіх померлих. У цей день на цвинтарях, у церквах та в інших публічних місцях проводяться спеціальні служби.

День Праці – перший понеділок вересня – святкується на честь робочого люду країни. У цей день
проходять паради. Для більшості американців цей день означає закінчення періоду літніх відпусток, а для більшості школярів та студентів – початок навчального року.

Колумбів День – незважаючи на те, що більшість народів американського континенту святкують цей
день 12 жовтня, у США це свято відзначається кож ного другого понеділка жовтня.
