Люба Катрусю!
Спішу скоріше поділитися з тобою радісними новинами. Мені таки пощастило,і я цього року стала студенткою одного з найкращих вишів столиці. Як я і мріяла, я тепер буду навчатися в Національному Університеті імені Тараса Шевченка,що славиться своїми давніми традиціями. Ще тільки другий тиждень занять,а ми вже прослухали лекції з загального мовознавства,зарубіжної та української літератури,історії України. Цікаво проходять заняття з англійської фонетики у спеціальній лабораторії. Шість раз на тиждень маємо практичні заняття з англійської мови. До речі,вчимося в другу зміну,до чого я була не готова,але вже звикаю.
Встигла поселитися в гуртожиток і освоїтися на місці. Завтра йду до читацького абонементу отримувати навчальну літературу. Бібліотека розташована поруч із червоним корпусом,а ми,якти знаєш,навчаємося в жовтому,що на бульварі Тараса Шевченка. Прямо навпроти нас гарний парк,де стоїть пам'ятник Тарасу і де завжди повно студентів.
І останнє. Я вже подружилася з деким з нашої групи в гуртожитку. Дівчат у нас більше,ніж хлопців. Далеко не всі кияни,дехто зніматиме квартири. Атмосфера дружня. Проводимо час разом не тільки на заняттях. Ще не встигла як слід ознайомитися з містом,але вже почала в ньому орієнтуватися. Впевнена,все попереду.
Чекаю від тебе листа. Якщо зможеш, приїжджай на вихідні до Києва.

Dear Katrusia!Spìšu rather share with you your happy news. I am still lucky and this year I became a student of one of the best universities of the capital. As I was dreaming, I am now going to study at the National University named after Taras Shevchenko, famous for its ancient traditions. Yet only the second week of classes, and we've listened to lectures on General Linguistics, foreign and Ukrainian literature, history of Ukraine. Interesting classes of English phonetics in a special laboratory. Six times a week have the practical lessons of the English language.
