Після повернення у 1872 р. до Чернівців, за пропозицією шкільного інспектора Буковини отримав посаду префекта у греко-православній архієпископській клерикальній семінарії у Чернівцях. У 1875 році згідно з рішенням почесних членів студентської корпорації від 4 вересня В.Репта призначений штатним професором теологічного факультету імператорсько-королівського Університету Франца Йозефа у Чернівцях.

In 1875 according to the decision of the honorary members of student's Corporation from September 4, v. Repta appointed a full-time professor at the Theological Faculty of ìmperators′ko-Royal University of Franz Josef in Chernivtsi.
