Міжнародний музичний фестиваль заснований 1991 року в Харкові з ініціативи піаністки, народної артистки України, професора Тетяни Вєркіної. Включає концертну програму, наукову музикознавчу конференцію, конкурси музикантів-виконавців.В 1992 році Фестиваль отримав назву " Харківські асамблеї", з 2004 — проводиться під девізом "Противлення злу мистецтвом ".За період з 1991 по 2012 проведено 19 тематичний фестивалів.
