установити специфіку трансформаційної
моделі перекладу як одного з оптимальних засобів передання змісту першотвору. Реалізація поставленої мети передбачає вирішення таких завдань: 1) проаналізувати природу
трансформаційної моделі перекладу та її тлумачення різними лінгвістами; 2) аргументувати вибір саме цієї моделі перекладу, розглянувши механізм її дії на перекладному матеріалі;
3) розглянути доцільність використання трансформаційної моделі для досягнення адекватності перекладу художнього твору.
Матеріалом дослідження слугують гуморески Остапа Вишні та
їхні переклади англійською мовою, здійснені Юрієм Ткачем. За
робочу гіпотезу обрано твердження про те, що трансформаційна модель передбачає міжмовні перетворення, причому останні
обов’язково обмежені рамками двох конкретних мов [8, c. 127].

Bythe working hypothesis was elected as the assertion that the transformational model involves Interlingua conversion, the latternecessarily limited scope of two specific languages [8, c. 127].
