У кожної людини одна Батьківщина. Це те місце на її великій території, де вона народилася, виросла, яке не раз проміряла своїми ногами.

Я щаслива з того, що народилася і живу саме в Україні. Я люблю її за безмежні, красиві, неосяжні простори. Вийди в поле — і ти залюбуєшся полями високого жита, яке стоїть неначе дві високі стіни. Увійди в нього — і тебе сховають його колоски. Тільки синє небо є твоїм дороговказом. Милує душу така краса. Здається йшов би вічність цією стежкою, аби вона не кінчалася.

А архітектура міст українських! Київ, Харків, Львів. Вона свідчить про високий рівень культури наших пращурів.

Хто не милувався Софією Київською і Золотими воротами княжого міста, Видубицьким монастирем и Києво-Печерською лаврою з Успенським собором, старовинним Подолом сивочолим Борисфен-Дніпром? Все це духовні символи національної історії та культури, без яких не мислиться наша земля.

Ось уже п'ятнадцять століть височіє н дніпровських схилах Золотоверхий Київ, якому випала історична місія стати «матір'ю міст руських», відіграти важливу роль у формуванні однієї з найбільших держав Європи Київської русі.
