Перекладознавство як особлива царина мовознавства сфокусовано на вивченні закономірностей процесу перекладу, інвентаризації міжмовних відповідників різних мовних рівнів, а також механізмів і способів
досягнення різних типів еквівалентності текстів оригіналу й
перекладу [14, с. 670]. Через своє прикладне спрямування ця
галузь лінгвістичного знання набуває міждисциплінарної характеристики, адже переклад є не лише мовним, а й складним
когнітивним феноменом [1, с. 138]. Суперечливою проблемою
цієї філологічної галузі залишається ймовірність добору єдиної правильної моделі перекладу. Перекладознавство фіксує
різні підходи щодо трактування трансформаційної моделі перекладу. Наукові розвідки з питань типології моделей і механізмів їхньої дії репрезентовано в працях таких лінгвістів, як

З огляду на неоднозначність її трактувань постає необхідність
з’ясувати сутність основних положень трансформаційного підходу та простежити можливості його застосування під час перекладу творів художньої літератури
