Загалом трансформаційна модель виявляється
досить ефективною під час перекладу. За її допомогою можна
пояснити численні факти граматичних і лексико-семантичних
замін, досягаючи при цьому еквівалентності перекладу, а також
факти перекладу структур МО, що не мають відповідників у
МП. Проте вважаємо, що трансформаційна модель не претендує на всебічний опис процесу перекладу. Одним із її недоліків
залишається неможливість пояснити ототожнення під час перекладу мовних одиниць, що різняться як за структурою, так і за
лексичним складом. Вона також не пояснює факти ситуативної
еквівалентності. Незважаючи на велику кількість моделей перекладу, навряд чи будь-яка теорія перекладу може претендувати на панівне становище в науці. Усі теорії мають практичну цінність через намагання вичерпно відобразити ту чи іншу
сторону об’єкта перекладознавства, роблять у неї свій вагомий
внесок. Перспективним уважаємо дослідження механізму дії
зазначеної моделі в науково-технічному перекладі, а також інших моделей на матеріалі різносистемних мов.
