Кошти резерву під кредитні ризики спрямовують на погашення безнадійної кредитної заборгованості. Обовязковою умовою списання кредиту є присвоєння класифікації кредитної заборгованості як "безнадійної". Списання з балансу суми боргу за безнадійним кредитом та процентами відбувається за дебетом рахунків для обліку спеціальних резервів. Таке списання відбувається лише за рішенням Правління банку.

Аудит кредитних операцій здійснюється за такими напрямами: організація кредитної роботи, повнота кредитних справ та якість договірних відносин, цільове використання кредитних коштів, якість кредиту та формування страхового резерву, правильність та повнота обліку кредитних операцій
