Важливість Спеціальної моніторингової місії для України

Для України найважливіше питання діяльності ОБСЄ сьогодні – це робота двох місій: Спеціальної моніторингової місії (СММ) ОБСЄ в Україні та Місії спостерігачів ОБСЄ на двох російських пунктах пропуску “Гуково” і “Донецьк”. Діяльність цих двох місій є, безсумнівно, корисною для нашої держави, оскільки забезпечує міжнародну присутність та міжнародний об’єктивний моніторинг подій, що відбуваються в зоні АТО. Варто зазначити, що під час прийняття рішення Постійною Радою ОБСЄ у березні 2014 року про спрямування СММ в Україну Росія наполягла на виключенні Криму з території моніторингу, таким чином позбавивши міжнародну спільноту можливості отримувати об’єктивну інформацію з півострова.

It should be noted that at the time of the decision of the OSCE Permanent Council in March 2014, about the direction of the SMM in Ukraine, Russia insisted on turning the Crimea territory, thus depriving the international community the opportunity to receive objective information from the peninsula.
