КОСТЬОЛ СВЯТОГО ЯНА З ДУКЛІ. 1761 року житомирський староста Ян Кастан Ільїнський збудував власним коштом бернардинський монастир і подарував його воєводському місту Житомиру. Пізніше ченці власними силами прибудували до нього невеличкий дерев'яний костьол і нарекли ім'ям Яна з Дуклі. Цей ченець відзначався побожним життям, останні роки якого провів у місті Дуклі на сході Польщі. З часом старий костьол перестав задовольняти потреби віруючих. Бернардинці розібрали його і 1820 року заклали новий. Це була споруда у стилі бароко з оштукатуреної цегли - сирцю та цементу. У плані це прямокутна будова, що являє собою тринефну чотириступеневу склеписту базиліку з прямокутною абсидою. У 1845 році ченців перевели в інше місце, а в їхньому приміщенні відкрили римо-католицьку духовну семінарію. Після польського національно-визвольного руху 1860-х років семінарія була передана обласному штабу ВНОС. Далі у приміщенні костьолу Святого Яна з Дуклі знаходився військкомат, потім кінотеатр. Після Другої Світової війни у костьолі влаштували Обласний Науково-методичний Центр народної творчості і музей. Зрештою, через аварійний стан будівлі 1971 року її закрили.
