Вчора уряд Швейцарії офіційно висло

Вчора уряд Швейцарії офіційно висловив намір країни виступити в Організації Об'єднаних Націй, заявивши при цьому, що вступ країни в ООН буде відповідати політичним інтересам держави. У зв'язку з цим уряд направив звернення до обох палат парламенту конференції з проханням розглянути питання про проведення всенародного референдуму з цього питання. У випадку, якщо результати нинішнього плебісциту будуть позитивними, то 2003 року Швейцарія зможе стати новим членом ООН і тоді в світі залишиться лише одне державне утворення, яке з принципових міркувань не вступає до ООН – Ватикан.

Yesterday, the Government of Switzerland officially expressed the country's intention to speak at the United Nations, saying that the country's membership in the United Nations will respond to the political interests of the State. In this regard, the Government sent a letter to both houses of Parliament Conference to consider holding national referendum on the issue. In case if the results of this plebiscite will be positive, 2003, Switzerland will be able to become a new Member of the United Nations and then in the world will remain only one State formation that fundamental reasons not to come to the United Nations – Vatican City.
