Розглянуто колекцію листів із спогадами колишніх учасників Оржицької оборони до письменника-дослідника С.С. Смирнова.; здійснено систематизацію джерел та визначено їх інформаційний потенціал, домінуючу тему. Зроблено висновок, що зазначена колекція є унікальним джерелом з вивчення заключного періоду Київської оборонної операції 1941 р.
