Для дослідження було взято динаміку індексу за період 22.10.2010 ¬22.10.2015. Як видно на графіку індекс Української Біржі набуває свого максимального значення в 01.03.2011 року (2962,58 пункти), що свідчить про позитивний стан фондового ринку України на той час і зміна цього індексу становила 45,52 %. Найменше значення цього індексу за весь період його існування спостерігалось 8 червня 2012 року. Зміна цього індексу на той час становила —60,69 %. З початку досліджуваного періоду до квітня 2011 року спостерігається зростання значення індексу. З кінця квітня 2011 року спостерігається зниження значення індексу Української біржі
7) Індекс ПФТС розраховується на базі цін найбільш ліквідних акцій Першої фондової торгової системи (ПФТС) з 1 жовтня 1997 року.
Індекс ПФТС – ціновий індекс, зважений за обсягом емісії (free float), що реально доступна для широкого кола інвесторів. «Індексний кошик» ПФТС складається з акцій 20 емітентів. Перелік акцій для розрахунку індексу ПФТС формується Індексним комітетом ПФТС з цінних паперів, що входять до Списку ПФТС, на підставі даних про ринкову капіталізацію, обсяг торгів, кількість угод та інших факторів, що впливають на ліквідність акцій. Індекс ПФТС розраховується на підставі Правил розрахунку індексу ПФТС та Положення про індексний комітет ПФТС.
8) Зміни величини індексів ПФТС та УБ тісно взаємопов'язані між собою, що пояснюється відображенням ними реальної ситуації на фондовому ринку у світі та в Україні. Їх відмінність зумовлена в основному різними обсягами торгів на цих майданчиках, але як видно з графіків, основний тренд є дуже схожим.
