США – могутня і високорозвинена країна в світі. Вона розташована у центральній частині Північної Америки. Її західне узбережжя омивається Тихим океаном, а східне – Атлантичним океаном і Мексиканською затокою.
США відокремлені від Канади на півночі 49-ою паралеллю і Великими озерами, від Мексики на півдні – лінією, що проходить уздовж ріки Ріо-Гранде і через нагірні райони до Тихого океану.
