Актуальність дослідження. Виховати громадянина – завдання кожної держави. Почуття громадянськості – це стрижень особистості громадянина, який формується завдяки засобам освіти й виховання. Нажаль, ми змушені констатувати, що останні сумні події в країні наочно показали: у площині виховання почуття громадянськості в молоді є ще багато, над чим працювати. Адже громадянськість вимірюється не „ура-патріотизмом” або відсахування від власної країни, почуття громадянськості базується, передусім на принципах моралі, системі цінностей людини, узгодженій із загальноприйнятними; повазі до країни, небайдужості до її долі, усвідомленні відповідальності кожного з нас за Батьківщину, готовності брати на себе цю відповідальність, умінні захищати країну й відстоювати її інтереси.
